BC's Residential Construction Person the Year Award
BC Homes Magazine, to recognize excellence in the leadership of BC's residential construction community, created the BC's Residential Construction Person of the Year Award in 2007. The recipient is chosen for a combination of principled leadership, strategic thinking, unceasing pursuit of excellence and balanced workplace values.

Congratulations M.J.

Provincial Rural Internet Connectivity Grant
Northern Development recognizes that broadband internet connectivity is a strategically important economic development driver for our region, particularly for rural and remote communities in central and northern BC. We encourage all communities, non-profits, and businesses within the region seeking Provincial funding support for infrastructure required to deliver internet connectivity to homes and businesses in rural and remote areas to apply to the recently announced Connecting Citizens Grant Program.

Built Green™BC Gets Boost
Through Government Grant
 Housing Minister Rich Coleman announced a $150,000 grant for the Built Green™ BC program. The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC (CHBA BC) is pleased with the contribution, which will help promote energy efficiency and sustainability in the residential construction industry.
The funding is part of the Housing Endowment Fund established by the Province of B.C. in 2007 with a $250-million capital endowment to encourage new ideas and support innovative housing solutions not served through existing housing programs.
